1. Do you charge for Shop at Home Service and in-home estimate?

"Shop at Home" service and in-home estimate is 100% free - no obligation.


2. Are there any warranties on the flooring/pad installation?

Yes, please ask your sales representative for warranty on whichever product you are getting as each product has different warranties applicable.


3. Who is responsible for removal/disposal of my old carpet and pad?

At Korona Flooring you have the flexibility to have us do these things for you or if you want to save money you can do it yourself.


4. Who is responsible for moving/removing my furniture, appliances, baseboards, toilet fixtures, etc.?

Again, you have the full flexibility in this case as well. You can have as do those things (always done in professional manner), or if you want to save money you can do it yourself.


5. When can I have my new flooring installed?

Our sales representative will work with you to determine what day and time is best for you, including weekends.


6. What if my broadloom ripples or buckles after the installation?

Korona Flooring guarantees all work for life of the product. If your carpet buckles or ripples, we will send an installer in to fix the problem at no additional cost to you.


7. How do I maintain my hardwood flooring?

In order to maximize the durability and beauty of your hardwood flooring we recommend that you purchase floor care and maintenance kit, and that you read, understand and follow all the instructions.


8. What is the ideal humidity level for hardwood and laminate floors?

The ideal humidity level is approximately 42%, for both types of flooring.

9. What is the difference between hardwood and engineered wood?

Harwood is a solid wood product. Engineered wood has a top layer or real wood and other layer combinations of stranded wooded products that are generally more stable than solid wood. Engineered wood is a considered a better candidate for 1st grade installations.


10. Are hardwood or laminate floors suitable in kitchens and bathrooms?

Kitchens and bathrooms are areas that are subject to high humidity and excess moisture. Solid wood flooring are not recomended in those areas. However, in these areas you can go with some types of laminate flooring (with special installation procedures) or engineered hardwood floors. But, even then, proper maintanance is important. Any spillages should be addressed immediately. When cleaning never use a regular wet mop with soap and water.


11. Is it OK to install hardwood flooring in the basement?

It is highly recommended that you do not install solid hardwood flooring below grade. However, in these situations you can go with laminate flooring or engineered hardwood floors.


12. Can you install a hardwood floor over an existing vinyl floor?

Yes. Please, talk to the sales represenatative to learn more about the installation methods.


13. What is laminate flooring and when should I pick laminate over hardwood flooring?

Laminate flooring is versatile, durable, attractive flooring with the appearance of a hardwood floor. Although laminate flooring may look like wood flooring, there is actually no solid wood used in its construction.
Laminate flooring is much cheaper than traditional hardwood flooring. It can be installed fairly quickly and inexpensively. It is designed to be scratch-resistant and fade resistant, two areas where solid hardwood flooring is known to be more vulnerable. Laminate flooring is perfect for anyone wanting a durable floor for a fraction of the price and installation time of a hardwood floor, but with the attractiveness of real hardwood.


14. What are the disadvantages of laminate flooring?

While laminate is more durable, it doesn't have the same warmth and permanence of hardwood flooring.


15. When would a vinyl flooring surface be preferable?

Vinyl flooring is best suited to areas that might be likely to have water spills, making it an inexpensive and attractive choice for kitchens and washrooms.
